Added a page listing the viaduct track and track sets with some basic info on them, as I realized I'd never done this. I use very little of this track, so the information is somewhat superficial and mostly based on the track I'd bought for my first Kato layout, although I've tried to make the list complete using Kato's stock lists (Japanese as well as English).

Miscellaneous Editing and Updates

I spent some time going around and cleaning up typos, adding small bits of text to clarify things, and generally editing existing pages. The ones with significant changes I've made separate RSS entries for, but for my own reference I'll note the other pages changed here (some of these had trivial typos changed and nothing else):

Making Backdrops - minor text changes and added reference to Backdrop Scenery Reference Image page.

Backdrop Scenery - rearranged text for legibility, no new material.

Added some more T-TRAK sites to my list, thanks to a discussion on JNS Forum that revealed a few I'd missed. T-TRAK is a modular layout system designed for very small table-top modules. A standard module is just over a foot long and eight inches deep. I've never built one of these (you really need a club for it to be worthwhile, or want to build a small layout that can be stored on shelves when not in use), but they look like fun.

A rewrite of a previously-existing overview page, to simplify it (much of the old contents was relocated to other pages) and also to bring it and the other pages into line. My plans for how many power busses needed to exist, and what connected to each of them, had changed over time, and contradictions had crept in to various descriptions.

This new page contains much of the content from the old Power Wiring Standards page that wasn't actually some kind of "standard" along with other material, to reflect the reasons that went into making the choices in the standard. It also contains material from the old Layout Wiring page (which had gone through a number of name changes, but was essentially an overview that duplicated some of the material from other pages).

Updated the Wiring Standards page to (hopefully) be more clear, after I had trouble finding some information on it. This page was focused on track power wiring, but that wasn't clear from the title, and the contents included both design and standards. It's now more focused on just describing the standards, including those for non-power wiring, with a small amount of background clearly separated. Other material was moved to the new Power Wiring Design page. This page also had its content reconciled with the overview page, as the two were out of sync in some places.

This isn't new or revised. I've merely changed the name from "BDL168" to "BDL168 Testing" to make the purpose of the page, which is to describe what I did when first configuring my occupancy detectors and trying to get the Transponding feature to work.

No, it's not a new movie. I noticed that one of my lighting-test videos wasn't included in this list, so I added it, and also cleaned up the page to make the difference between "trains in operation" and "testing stuff out" videos more clearly explained.

I also noted that the old URL for the lighting page included in the video wasn't working, and fixed my url-rewriting rules to make sure it did.

Another old iWeb page, this one describing the kinds of electric motor and control systems used on trains. If you get the impression that the old iWeb version of this site wasn't very well organized, you're right. I can't believe I overlooked these for so long.

Although much of this is direct from the original version I wrote a couple of years ago, I've added material and significantly rewritten sections.

The references section of this page has links to a number of YouTube videos giving typical motor sounds for the various types of propulsion systems in current use.
