Construction: Lighting Test
This album contains copies of the photos used in the original lighting tests performed to determine which bulbs worked best. This testing was conducted in late 2009 and early 2010 as part of the construction of the original Sumida Crossing layout. All lights were for R20 fixtures except for one T8 fluorescent tube. Three sets of tests were performed (identified as T1, T2 and T3), with the third test refining the white balance to use for a Bright White Compact Fluorescent that had appeared best in earlier testing. Tests used RAW photos with a mix of allowing the camera to auto-set the White Balance and selecting a specific one. In the end, the best color came from a Bright White CFL processed at a white balance of 3600.
See the Layout Lighting page for a description of what these mean.
